Every picture has a story. Tell yours.

YOUR PHOTOS. YOUR STORIES. YOUR WEBSITE.

Your family photographs, important documents, treasured collections, and personal memories hold stories worth preserving. But knowing what to keep and where to begin can feel overwhelming.

I bring your stories, images, and videos together on your own beautiful, organized, private website. Share it with the people you choose, and pass it on to someone who can care for and continue the collection.

Keep the meaning with the memory.

WHY IT MATTERS

Photographs preserve faces and places. Your recollections preserve the names, relationships, experiences, and details that give them meaning. The same is true of a treasured collection: how it came together, where each item came from, and why it matters.

Documenting these things now gives you something to enjoy and share today—and gives those who follow a collection they can understand, care for, and continue.

Your stories, in good company.

A PERSONAL APPROACH

I’m Wallis Alviar, a former TV reporter, writer, producer, and editor. I created One Photo, One Story to help people document their memories and collections and bring them together on their own websites.

You don’t need to be a writer or remember everything in order. I listen, ask questions, and record your recollections. I scan or photograph your original items, then bring your images, videos, and stories together in a way that feels personal to you.

A website shaped around what matters to you.

WHAT WE CAN CREATE

Your website can have a single focus or combine several approaches and evolve as we add more.

Your life in stories

A family history

A collection archive

A thoughtfully selected and organized collection of photographs, with captions identifying the people, places, occasions, and details you want remembered.

Bring together memories from different chapters of your life, supported by photographs, letters, audio, and video.

Connect generations through a family tree, individual profiles, shared memories, and historical documents.

Document treasured items with photographs, descriptions, acquisition details, ownership records, receipts, and existing appraisals.

HOW WE BEGIN

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

We begin with a conversation about what you’d like to preserve. Together, we decide on a manageable first phase, with room for your website to grow.

01

Talk about what matters

Tell me about your memories, materials, or collection. We’ll discuss what you want your website to become, who it’s for, and what help you need.

02

Agree on a plan

I prepare an estimate outlining the work, cost, and timing. We discuss it together and agree on what’s included before work begins.

03

Create and keep growing

We begin with selected photographs, memories, or objects. I add the images and stories to your website for you to review. We can rearrange the collection as it grows.

SMALL-GROUP WORKSHOPS

Your stories.
A shared experience.

Prefer to write your own stories alongside others? My small-group workshops offer guidance as you turn photographs, keepsakes, and memories into a personal website. There’s time to write, ask questions, and share if you wish. Someone else’s photograph might stir a memory of your own, and familiar faces can become new friends.
